What is a 'Risk'?

Each proposal is a risk, and each risk is given a unique Risk ID. Each risk will hold a value representing a total sum to be insured. 

Quick tip! Every time you generate a new risk, you create a new Digital Risk File that has a unique Risk ID. This ID is the easiest way to monitor and manage a digital file for each proposal. The ID will always remain the same, even if you create another version of the risk.

Each risk will progress through different states as you push it through the placement cycle – from proposal to bound certificate. The speed at which a risk progresses depends upon thoroughness of the initial application.
