Why are some buttons shaded and some not?

Buttons on each page initiate an action.

Shaded buttons are actions you will take to move a risk forward.

For example:

  • Generate Quote initiates quoting - it will be automatic or pushed to Underwriters this way.
  • Bind produces a bound certificate for the risk and your broker invoice.
  • Modify unlocks a quote for editing. You will always need to modify a proposal when you are in negotiation with Underwriters.

White buttons support account administration.

For example:

  • Send Email allows you to email quote and certificate documents to clients directly from your account!
  • The Clone Risk option is best used for cases where you are renewing a risk or re-issuing a proposal request that Underwriters declined or you marked as Not Taken Up (i.e.: closed or cancelled the proposal).
  • NTU marks a quote you have not accepted as Not Taken Up. This action closes the risk file and the action is denoted in the Risk History and Notes tabs.
