How do I provide underwriters more information in an SAU?

The Notes tab is your communication path to Underwriters. When a risk has been sent back to you without a quote while in SAU, it is most often because Underwriters require information.

To move the risk forward:

  • review the Notes tab to understand the Underwriter's query
  • select Modify from the Risk Summary page to unlock the risk proposal and address their query
  • use the Navigation tabs across the top of the page to complete the necessary information
  • select Generate Quote to send the risk back to Underwriters for rating

To add an attachment:

  • visit the Additional Information section of the proposal before you choose Generate Quote on the Risk Summary page

If you wish to contact Underwriters while the risk is in SAU, use the Contact Underwriter button within the Notes tab of the risk file at any time.
